Interview questions

Once we have looked at the CVs and application letters, we will choose who is going to be interviewed for the position of Dessert Chef. As we do not know who the lucky candidates will be, EVERYONE needs to prepare for the interview.

Make some NOTES to answer the following questions. Do not write full sentences as you will need to look your interviewer in the eye and not stare at your paper!

Example interview questions:
1. Why did you want to become a Dessert Chef?
2. What makes a good Dessert Chef in your opinion?
3. What is your favourite dessert? Why?
4. What is your speciality? Describe it please.
5. Explain a problem you have had in the kitchen. How did you overcome this problem?
6. What is the most important thing that you learned from your mentor?
7. If I gave you some digestive biscuits, ice-cream, cooking chocolate, strawberries and mascarpone cheese, what would you make? What would you call this dessert?
